Along a pine covered headland that stretches out into lake Svärdlång, is this wind shelter campsite. It complements them around 100 traditional camp sites that the non-profit organization DANO maintains open to a growing crowd of people who use canoes and kayaks to explore Dalsland Nordmarken's rich system of lakes. Large sheets of cross-glued solid spruce are joined to a wooden tent, the very image of a shelter in nature. The roof boards rest on six u-shaped support, each containing basic functions for the overnighters. Here are space for wet clothes and packing, there is wood for a fireplace, three sleeping places and a small table to sit at when it rains. From the sleeping places inside the wind shelter you can sense the water's edge in the space between the ceiling and the floor and when the sun lying on the lake in the morning, the sun's glare plays against the walls of the windbreak and the small movements of the water are reflected against the ceiling.
